- Update Your Name Servers
- Disable WHOIS Privacy
- Update Your WHOIS Information
- Confirm the Domain is 60 Days Old
- Unlock Your Domain Name at Your Current Registrar
- Check Your Domain’s Expiration Date
- Obtain Your EPP Authorization Code

How to Begin the Domain Transfer
Domain transferring with Hostgator is very simple. Go to the Transfer page of HostGator and enter your domain name.

Verify the Domain Transfer

- Search the WHOIS Registrant Email service mailbox to get a verification email to authorize the transfer of the domain. This email will also allow you to enter your EPP key, which is necessary for the process of the domain transfer.
